What Now! Police Complaint Against Rajamouli!

Rajamouli is the most attentive filmmaker in Indian cinema when it comes to marketing his films as he has a very calculated and measured way of doing the activity. He is currently working in Varanasi, which happens to be his upcoming collaboration with Mahesh Babu.

Coming to the topic now, Rajamouli is finding himself in trouble as a police case has been filed against him in Hyderabad and here is a look into the same.

The Rashtriya Vanara Sena has filed a formal complaint against filmmaker SS Rajamouli, alleging that his recent comments about Lord Hanuman hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu devotees.

The issue began during the Varanasi title-reveal event, where a major technical failure disrupted the program. Frustrated by the glitch, Rajamouli reportedly mentioned that he does not strongly believe in God and referred to a comment his father once made that Lord Hanuman would always walk behind him and guide him.

He questioned this guidance in the heat of the moment, which some groups interpreted as disrespectful.

Members of the Rashtriya Vanara Sena submitted their complaint at the Saroornagar Police Station in Hyderabad. They argued that Rajamouli’s statements were insensitive and demanded legal action to ensure that no filmmaker or public figure makes similar remarks about Hindu deities in the future.

The organisation insisted that religious figures should be treated with reverence, especially during public events that attract national attention.

The police have received the complaint and may examine the video footage of the event before deciding on further action. The incident has sparked debate over freedom of expression, emotional reactions, and the boundaries of commenting on religious beliefs in public spaces.
