Musical Legends Unite for Shashtipoorthi

Upcoming emotional drama Shashtipoorthi, directed by Pavan Prabha, is gaining attention for its rich musical and nostalgic elements. The film features a powerful musical collaboration between legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja.

For the first time ever in Telugu, Yuvan has lent his voice to a song composed by his father. Titled Raathrantha Rache, the track brings a unique energy and marks a memorable milestone in Telugu music history.

Earlier, the makers had already made headlines by combining the musical genius of Ilaiyaraaja with Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani for the song Edo Ededo. Now, the Ilaiyaraaja-Yuvan pairing further elevates the film’s musical appeal.

Adding to the nostalgia, Shashtipoorthi reunites veteran actors Rajendra Prasad and Archana, who last appeared together four decades ago in the cult classic Ladies Tailor. Their on-screen reunion is expected to be one of the film’s emotional highlights.

The movie stars Rupeysh and Akanksha in lead roles and has been produced on a grand scale by Rupeysh under the Maa Aai banner. With top-tier production design, specially constructed sets, and strong pre-release buzz, Shashtipoorthi is set for release on May 30.
