By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Jun 2025 11:17 AM ISTRavi Teja, usually seen in full-throttle mass entertainers, seems to be trying something different this time. After a string of underwhelming films like Mr. Bachchan, he's teaming up with director Kishore Tirumala for a film that’s being described as a proper family drama. The project, referred to as RT76, has already started shooting in Hyderabad.
The film is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner. Shooting began on a specially designed set, with key scenes involving Ravi Teja and the main cast being filmed. Kishore Tirumala, known for mixing humor with emotional depth, is expected to bring that same approach here. Ravi Teja has also gone for a new look for the role, adding to the buzz.
Music for the film is being composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, who earlier worked on Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka. The makers are planning a Sankranthi release, which could work well given the genre shift. It’s shaping up to be a film that banks more on emotion and connection than punch dialogues and fights.
At the same time, Ravi Teja’s Mass Jatara, co-starring Sreeleela, is set for an August 27 release. While that film sticks to his usual formula, RT76 could offer something more grounded. With a fresh approach and timing in his favor, this could be Ravi Teja’s attempt to break the pattern and reset.
