They felt that his market got affected badly after the string of flops he delivered at the box office. For that reason, he has switched to the ‘rights-sharing’ model, and now that has helped him big time.
For ‘Irumudi’, Raviteja took Nizam rights as his remuneration and took only ₹2 crores as a token advance from Mythri Movie Makers, they say. That way, he would walk out with more than ₹25 crores as his remuneration now. For his upcoming movies, however, when producers are offering him an upfront ₹20+ crores remuneration, the hero is said to be declining it. He wants to stick to the Nizam-rights plan only, as per the talk.
However, some say that if Raviteja keeps on demanding the Nizam rights, some producers might not show interest to work with him. Some say that he should take both a solid amount and also share in profits as his remuneration, while delivering hit films back-to-back really matters for the 58-year-old star. After Irumudi, he has interesting films lined up, and most of them should turn out as blockbusters only.
