Recent blockbuster bags huge OTT and satellite deals

Siddharth, known for his lover boy image in Telugu cinema with hits like 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' and 'Bommarillu,' faced a string of flops in recent years. However, his fortunes changed with the Tamil-dubbed film 'Chinna,' which marked a significant comeback for him.

'Chinna ', originally a small-scale release, made a strong impact in Tamil theaters and received positive word-of-mouth. In the Telugu market, it didn't perform as well as in Tamil but still gained attention. The film has now struck gold with non-theatrical, satellite, and OTT rights. The collective sale of these rights is estimated at 15 crores, effectively covering the film's entire budget. 'Chinna' will be available for streaming on Disney Hotstar.

The movie, set against a sensitive backdrop, features Siddharth in an intense role, with Nimisha Sajayan as his love interest and Sahasra Shree playing his niece. 'Chinna' was released on September 28th in Tamil and on October 6th in Telugu. Despite its performance in theaters, it has secured significant OTT and satellite deals.

'Chinna' has garnered critical acclaim, earning an impressive 97 percent rating on BookMyShow and receiving high praise from critics.
