In this context, Ram Gopal Varma recently issued a heartfelt public apology to Megastar Chiranjeevi, expressing gratitude and regret for any unintentional hurt caused in the past.
Sharing his message on social media, RGV wrote, “Thank you Chiranjeevi garu. If I have ever offended you in any way, I sincerely apologize. Thank you once again for your large heart.”
His statement came after Chiranjeevi acknowledged RGV’s influence on Telugu cinema, particularly praising his 1989 classic Shiva for its groundbreaking cycle-chain scene and innovative camera work that redefined the industry’s visual style.
Back in the late 1990s, RGV and Chiranjeevi had started working together on an ambitious project featuring Tabu as the female lead and music by Mani Sharma.
Though some parts of the film, including songs, were reportedly shot, it was later shelved for unknown reasons. Fans have often speculated that the film could have been a game-changer had it been completed.
RGV’s apology, paired with Chiranjeevi’s kind words, reflects mutual respect between two creative powerhouses who once nearly collaborated. But at a later point in time, RGV made a series of highly controversial comments against Chatterjee, which did not sit well with Mega fans.
