Kannada Star Hero to Join Jr NTR in Prashanth Neel’s Dragon

Director Prashanth Neel, who delivered the blockbuster Salaar with Prabhas, has now shifted his focus to his next big project, Dragon. This high-budget action drama features Jr NTR in the lead role and is currently being shot. The film promises to be a mix of power-packed action and strong emotions, a style for which Prashanth Neel has become well-known.

Adding to the excitement, reports suggest that Kantara star and director Rishab Shetty might make a guest appearance in Dragon. Though there is no official confirmation yet, this possibility has created a lot of buzz because of Rishab Shetty’s friendly bond with Jr NTR. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if the two powerhouse performers will share screen space.

The film also stars actress Rukmini Vasanth in the female lead role. Interestingly, she is also playing the heroine in Kantara: Chapter 1, which makes her presence in Dragon even more special. Music for the film is being composed by Ravi Basrur, known for delivering chartbuster soundtracks in KGF and Salaar. The movie is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and is scheduled to hit theatres on June 25, 2026.

Jr NTR, who was last seen in a key role in the Bollywood film War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan, has been balancing both Telugu and Hindi projects. His collaboration with Prashanth Neel is expected to be a major highlight of his career, especially after the global success of RRR and Devara.

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is also planning Salaar 2 with Prabhas, which is expected to go on floors soon. With two massive projects Dragon and Salaar 2 the director is proving once again why he is regarded as one of the biggest filmmakers in Indian cinema today.
