The action-packed extravaganza, "Salaar," starring Prabhas, has shown promising numbers at the box office. Despite facing a clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki" and encountering challenges due to a shared release, the film managed to accumulate approximately 16 Crore Nett in the Hindi Belt on its second day, slightly surpassing its opening day figures.

The clash with "Dunki" and the limited release hindered its growth potential. Nevertheless, the absence of significant drops in its collection indicates positive prospects for its long-term success. The movie's two-day total stands at around 31 Crore Nett, and it's anticipated to exceed 50 Crore Nett by the end of its opening weekend.

While this figure is commendable, industry experts speculate that had it not faced competition, the numbers could have been even more impressive. The upcoming Christmas holiday is expected to further boost the film's performance. Despite its current performance being impacted by the clash, if "Salaar" sustains its momentum during the holiday period, it might achieve a level of success that, under different circumstances, would have been higher.

Conversely, "Dunki" managed to accumulate approximately 24-25 Crore Nett on its third day. Although decent, this collection falls short of expectations for a film featuring the SRK – Hirani combination. Notably, "Dunki" is performing well primarily in major urban centers like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Kolkata. Even in Bengaluru, its numbers are affected by the competition from "Salaar." The cumulative three-day total for "Dunki" stands at 72 Crore Nett, and its future performance will be influenced by the audience response in the upcoming days.

After Prabhas' previous film, 'Adipurush,' didn't perform as expected at the box office, his fan base placed high hopes on his latest release, "Salaar." The action-packed movie received an overwhelmingly positive response from fans. Early estimates suggested that the film surpassed international box office expectations by earning an impressive Rs 178.7 crore.

Additionally, industry tracking sources like Sacnilk reported that "Salaar" achieved the fifth-largest opening in Hindi for any South Indian movie. Its opening collection reportedly outperformed SRK's 'Pathaan,' 'Jawan,' and Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Animal,' becoming the biggest opener of 2023. While 'Pathaan' earned Rs 57 crore on its first day in India, 'Jawan' and 'Animal' reported openings of Rs 75 crore and Rs 63 crore, respectively.
