By: Shanaz B Syed | 18 Nov 2025 4:27 PM ISTBollywood actor Salman Khan has spent a good chunk of his film life shooting in Hyderabad, mostly around Ramoji Film City. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan was one of the recent ones. Now, the chatter feels a bit different. People in both industries keep whispering that he’s cooking up a big project with Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally. But honestly, that rumour feels small compared to the bigger one floating around, that Salman wants to build massive film studios right inside Hyderabad’s new Bharat Future City.
Apparently, SKF Films already sat down with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy in Mumbai to go over the idea. These aren’t small setups either. Each studio needs around 50–60 acres, which is, a lot. The government seems ready to pitch in with land and a few sweet incentives to make it happen. If all goes well, the MoUs will be signed at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 on December 8 and 9. So things are moving, slowly but not too slowly.
Revanth Reddy has also laid the foundation stones for a couple of major projects inside Bharat Future City at Mirkhanpet in Kandukur Mandal. The whole place is being shaped into a futuristic creative bubble, so Salman jumping into the mix doesn’t feel surprising. It’s like everyone is trying to build something big at the same time.
For Tollywood folks, especially the smaller teams, this could be a blessing. One more place to shoot without the usual headache. And Salman’s fondness for Hyderabad isn’t new anyway. He even got his sister Arpita married at the Taj Falaknuma Palace years ago, like a royal affair. Looks like the man keeps circling back to the city he vibes with the most.
