Samantha's MIB: Struggling In Single Screens
While the film Maa Inti Bangaram is seeing ‘almost full’ boards in early morning shows of multiplexes, the film is struggling badly in single screens.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 17 Jun 2026 10:41 AM ISTNearly three years after a gap, former star heroine Samantha Ruth Prabhu is coming up with a movie that has her leading the show all the way. It’s none other than “Maa Inti Bangaram”, which is produced by her, directed by Nandini Reddy and written by her husband, Raj Nidimoru. While the actress is promoting the film a lot by giving lots of interviews to every single journalist out there, here’s what the box office reception is like for Day 1 bookings.
While the film Maa Inti Bangaram is seeing ‘almost full’ boards in early morning shows of multiplexes, the film is struggling badly in single screens. Tickets are not being filled so far, and we have to see if the direct walk-ins might be good. Other than early morning shows, even multiplexes need to get numbers in the afternoons and late nights; otherwise, the movie might not make as expected. Though the A-centres are registering some attention for the film, surely the B & C centres are yet to be receptive for the movie. It looks like Samantha should hold more press meets in Vijayawada, Warangal and Vizag to get that huge attention in almost all the towns and cities. As the actress hasn’t done that yet, the film is a bit struggling to get bookings there.
On the other hand, most of the films like Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaram don’t click through hype but actually work out when the talk from the first day comes out well. Only if the first show manages to get that unanimous positive report, these films would make it bigger. Hope the senior starlet played her cards well so that she would be getting massive success this time.
