Samantha Urges Telangana Govt To Publish Hema Committee Report!

Star actress Samantha is known for her active presence on social media. She constantly keeps uploading clicks from photoshoots, does brand endorsements, talks about women's rights, shares about the books she reads and many other things. She is known to voice her opinion and it made her stay in the news all the time.

With the Hema Committee findings creating a huge controversy across the Southern film industry, she praised the work of Women In Cinema Collective. She made a strong Instagram post that says, “We, the women of the Telugu film industry, welcome the Hema Committee report and applaud the persistent efforts of the WCC in Kerala, which has laid the path to this moment. Taking cue from the WCC, The Voice of Women, a support group for women in the TFI (Telugu Film Industry), was created in 2019.”

She added, “We hereby urge the Telangana government, to publish the submitted sub committee report on sexual harassment, which can help frame government and industry policies, to establish a safe working environment for women in the TFI.” Apparently, the report consists of alarming levels of women who got mistreated. Over 10-15 male producers, directors and actors were included in this report and they reportedly have a strong hold over the Malayalam film industry.
