Samantha Gets Called Out By Doctor For Health Advice!

Star actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu went through a lot of health issues over the past few years. She underwent various treatments and never hid any of it. Even after returning back to public life, Samantha has been very vocal about her health issues and even started a podcast to bring awareness among the public regarding various illnesses and their treatments.

She recently recommended hydrogen peroxide nebulization to treat viral infections and even posted a click of herself taking the same medication. Dr Cyriac Abby Philips who is popular on social media as ‘The Liver Doc' on social media saw this and called out the actress. He wrote, “Influential Indian actress Ms Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is, unfortunately, a health and science illiterate, advises millions of her followers to inhale hydrogen peroxide to prevent and treat respiratory viral infections. Do not put hydrogen peroxide into your nebulizer and breathe it in. This is dangerous. It is not a way to prevent nor treat COVID-19.”

He added, “In a rational and scientifically progressive society, this woman will be charged with endangering public health and fined or put behind bars. She needs help or a better advisor in her team. Will India's Health Ministry or any health regulatory body do something about these social media health influenzas damaging public health or will they remain spineless and let people die?”

The actress gave a lengthy explanation saying that the doctor might know more about the medical field than her but he shouldn't be provocative and aggressive in his comments.
