Did Sandeep Vanga Get 200 Crores From 'Animal'?

Ram Gopal Varma is the first name that comes to mind when we think of South directors who made it big in Bollywood. There is no replacement for him and he ruled the roost thereby creating his own empire in the Hindi film industry. He brought out a lot of fresh talents both onscreen and offscreen. RGV's protege Puri and others like Gautham Thinnanuri, Sailesh Kolanu and others tried their luck in Bollywood but it got them nowhere.

But Sandeep Reddy Vanga is making his mark in Bollywood with his own brand of films. He remade his own 'Arjun Reddy' as 'Kabir Singh' and scored a massive hit in Hindi. It was a sensation and earned more than 300 crores at the box office. He followed it up with a humongous success like 'Animal'. The hype this movie generated before the release and the debate it caused after the release was unbelievable. It got massive openings and created history by earning more than 860 crores that too with an 'A' certificate.

It is quite rare for a South Indian director to make history in Hindi cinema. Though Ranbir is already a star in Bollywood, 'Animal' made him a superstar and the entire credit goes to Sandeep Reddy Vanga. People are walking into the theatres hearing his name and he is the only one have that image in India other than SS Rajamouli. A Telugu-dubbed Hindi cinema had premiers at 6 AM and the advance bookings were exceptional. The reason for all that is Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

While 'Animal' is nearing the end of its theatrical run, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's earnings is becoming a huge talking point. Sources say that he pocketed around 200 crores as he is the co-producer of 'Animal'. He invested the money he got from 'Kabir Singh' into this film and took a share in the profits rather than remuneration. Due to this, he got over 200 crores and Ranbir's remuneration was 70 crores. It happened because Vanga's production banner was attached to this film. Many say that he is deserving of this money as he is the one who made this film. We need to wait and see what he delivers with 'Spirit' next year.
