The Sankranthi season has once again proved why it is the most important festival time for Indian cinema, especially for Telugu films. Every year, audiences wait eagerly for Sankranthi releases, and this year the excitement is clearly visible in theatres and online ticket bookings. In total, five Telugu films were planned for Sankranthi, and out of them four films released so far have received a positive response from the audience.

The best way to understand the current craze is by looking at the ticket sales on BookMyShow in the last 24 hours. These numbers clearly show how strong the festive momentum is across languages.

At the top of the list is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. The movie recorded a massive 406.89K tickets sold in just 24 hours. This proves that Chiranjeevi’s fan base remains extremely strong especially during festival seasons like Sankranthi.

Next comes Pan-India star Prabhas with The Raja Saab. The film sold 74.94K tickets, showing solid interest among audiences even before the festival holidays are fully over.

A Hindi film, Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and released many days ago, is still holding steady. It sold 53.61K tickets.

Actor Naveen Polishetty’s newly released film Anaganaga Oka Raju also made a strong start. On its very first day, the film sold 51.53K tickets proving that Naveen’s youthful image and comedy timing connect well with viewers.

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Bharta Mahasayulaki Vinayapathu followed closely with 50.44K tickets sold showing decent festival support from audiences.

From Tamil cinema, Shiva Karthikeyan’s Parasakthi sold 46.02K tickets. Other films like Sarvam Maya, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Vaa Vaathiyaar, Ikkis, and Sirai also saw steady bookings.Overall, Sankranthi 2026 is turning out to be a winning season.
