Industry Buzz: Anil Ravipudi Racing Ahead, Other Directors Slowed?

With the Sankranthi season just around 20 days away, the Telugu film industry is entering its most crucial promotional phase. With some biggies hitting the cinemas, every movie must make some noise, but it looks like only Anil Ravipudi is racing ahead of them all.

Director Anil Ravipudi has been aggressively promoting Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu. From behind-the-scenes videos to media interactions and creating AI videos, he has ensured that the film remains continuously in discussion in every circle. With two songs already becoming chartbusters, Anil’s job also got quite easier.

In contrast, other Sankranthi releases are yet to hit the full promotional momentum. Except for Maruthi, who has been sharing regular video updates of Prabhas’ The Raja Saab, and releasing songs as well, other film’ directors are yet to come to the spotlight.

Raviteja’s Bharata Mahaseyulaku Wignyapthi director Kishore Tirumala and Sharwanand’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari director Ram Abbavarapu are yet to open their account. In this age of cinema being promoted by directors aggressively, surely their presence would make a lot of difference. Though Naveen Polishetty is seen a lot in the promotions of Anaganana Oka Raju, his director has yet to make a mark.

As the Pongal season fills up with star-driven releases, the next few days will be crucial from a promotional point of view. We have to see how the directors will make up for it.
