In the wake of the open fight between the Telugu film industry’s “exhibitors” and “distributors”, many are wondering if all that is being shown in front of the media is everything, or if there is something else. In fact, these types of discussions and negotiations should happen behind closed doors between the concerned apex bodies, but many are wondering why these two bodies are coming out and venting it out in front of the cameras. At this juncture, a talk is coming out that there’s a secret force behind the exhibitors and their demands.

While Sirish Reddy and Asian Sunil Narang are getting targeted for venting out the opinions of the ‘exhibitors’ sector, many are saying that there is a big force behind the entire fiasco, as per some insiders. A senior producer who owns a chunk of properties in the middle of Hyderabad and also a post-production studio is said to be behind this thing. He’s the one who explained to the exhibitors the rules and regulations that are being followed by the other states in India and in the USA. But the senior producer hadn’t expected how the ‘producers’ would retort.

In fact, producers are demanding that the VPF cost be borne by the exhibitors and also asking them to bring the Rentrack system first. VPF means the cost that will be charged by digital conversion platforms like Qube, only after which a film can be viewed through a digital projection system in theatres. At the same time, Rentrak means nothing but a complete day-to-day ticket-tracking system, the one that exists in the USA. Well, we have to see how the ‘secret force’ behind the exhibitors reacts now.
