Epic Pan-India War Shakes Box Office This September 5th
Some Fridays look normal on the calendar, but the film industry turns them into battlegrounds.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 2 Sept 2025 11:52 AM ISTSome Fridays look normal on the calendar, but the film industry turns them into battlegrounds. September 5 is shaping up into one such war, where films from every corner, North, South, and even Hollywood, are charging at the same box office gate. No holiday, no festival, just pure clash.
The South front has two big soldiers: Ghaati and Madrasi. Ghati, led by Anushka and Krish, already carries heavy buzz after repeated delays. Anushka, though staying away from public events, is quietly fueling the buzz with virtual promotions. On the other hand, Sivakarthikeyan’s Madrasi is no small player, it has its own mass pull in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Teja Sajja has suddenly shifted Little Hearts to the same date, hoping his youthful film can surprise in the noise.
In Bollywood, the scene is equally fierce. Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, directed by Kannada filmmaker Harsha in his Hindi debut, promises heavy action and blood-soaked drama. Alongside, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files is ready to spark debate and controversy. Both films target different audiences, but their competition with South giants makes the clash even more unpredictable.
And just when you think the list is done, Hollywood sneaks in with The Conjuring: The Lost Rights. With its dubbed release, it will try to pull in the horror crowd. September 5 is no festival, yet it feels like a carnival of chaos. Which film will roar and which will fall silent, only the box office will deliver the verdict.
