BMC Raids Mannat, Shah Rukh Faces Heat!
Sources close to Khan’s team said all approvals are in place and that the construction follows legal guidelines.
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Jun 2025 2:43 PM ISTA quiet renovation turned into a full-blown inspection when officials from the BMC and Forest Department arrived at Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat bungalow in Bandra. The visit followed complaints filed by an RTI activist, who alleged violations of Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) rules tied to recent construction work at the property.
The inspection covered both the main bungalow, which holds a Grade III heritage status, and an adjoining structure where two new floors are reportedly being added. Given the property's location near the Arabian Sea, any structural change must pass strict regulatory checks. Authorities were there to confirm whether the work underway matched the permissions on file.
Sources close to Khan’s team said all approvals are in place and that the construction follows legal guidelines. However, officials haven’t confirmed anything yet. A detailed report is being prepared, and depending on what it reveals, further action could follow.
No public statements have been made by Shah Rukh himself. For now, the spotlight remains on Mannat—not for its star power, but for the paperwork behind its walls.
