How Shankar and Mani Ratnam ruined rapport with Kamal Haasan?

There was once a time when Kamal Haasan was one of the most reputed and consistent heroes not just in Tamil cinema, but also South Indian Cinema. But in the current scenario, he is struggling to deliver, even a single hit at the box office.

To make matters worse for Kamal, he has been delivering flops with the very same directors who had earlier delivered him historic blockbusters, and this is where things are getting very interesting.

Shankar, who had earlier made blockbuster Bharatheeyudu Kamal Haasan made the sequel for the film titled Indian 2. This film was such a huge disaster that it turned out to be one of the biggest loss making projects of all time in Tamil cinema.

Then the collaboration with Maniratnam for the recently released film Thug Life, which was expected to mark the comeback of Kamal and Mani Ratnam as well.

However, this film is also turning out to be in a big disaster, and it is on the course of setting huge losses for everyone involved. With so much riding against Kamal, it has become more of an obligation for him to do films these days.

Kamal is still one of the greatest actors of this generation, but the very same directors who had earlier made blockbusters with him are now delivering one disaster after another.
