Legendary filmmaker Shankar is a pioneer when it comes to using new technologies in movies. His vision, grandeur and the way he raised the standards of Indian cinema are irreplaceable. The visual effects, camera techniques and the scale shown by Shankar in his films were way ahead of his time. Right from 'Gentleman' to '2.0', technology has played a key part in his films.

He is now arriving with 'Indian 2' on 12th July and he is talking to various media outlets. As we know, Indian cinema has developed a lot in the past few years and we are getting to see magnum opus projects like 'Baahubali', 'Brahmastra', 'KGF', 'RRR' and many more. The recent fantasy action drama 'Kalki 2898 AD' is shattering records and the world presented to the audience has left them awestruck.

Talking about 'Kalki 2898 AD', Shankar had only positive things to say about it. He said, “Yesterday, I watched "KALKI", and it truly represents the pride of Indian cinema. Three months ago, I predicted in an interview that the movie "Kalki" would definitely reach 1000 crores. As predicted, it is on track to reach this milestone soon. I firmly believe that "KANGUVA", "PUSHPA2", and "COOLIE" will also achieve this feat and bring pride to Indian cinema, just as "Kalki" has done.”

Receiving praise from a legendary filmmaker like Shankar is truly exceptional and people are even more excited about the continuation of 'Kalki' cinematic universe. Sources say that around 60% of the shooting for 2nd part is done and 'Kalki 2' may be released in the second half of 2025 if things work out. Nag Ashwin envisioned this grand project while Ashwini Dutt is the producer along with his daughters Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt. Santosh Narayanan gave the music while Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and others played main roles.
