By: Shanaz B Syed | 30 March 2026 3:45 PM ISTA couple of weeks ago, two biggies came to revive the dryness left by the February films at the Tollywood box office. One is a Tamil remake film and the other is a Hindi dubbed film. Both Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2, crafted by Aditya Dhar, have been released on March 19th. Both did well for a week; however, at the Telugu box office, Ustaad raking up around ₹85 crores gross, and Dhurandhar 2 Hindi as well as Telugu versions did well, but that sheen was lost in just a week. So Tollywood is looking forward to the next movie now.
The very immediate releases that the Telugu industry will see this weekend, on April 3rd, are none other than Sharwanand’s Biker and Sangeeth Shoban’s Rakasa. Though films like Band Melam, Youth, and Happy Raj have said hello to the Telugu audience last week, they have all bitten the dust due to the mediocre content. Now, we have Sharwa’s Biker, which happens to be a first-of-its-kind dirty-biking and motosport kind of movie that Tollywood has ever made. The trailer held its nerve, and the audience was excited about the movie.
At the same time, the promotional content churned out by producer Niharika Konidela, along with Sangeeth Shoban for the Rakasa movie, is getting superior attention. As the trailer also created lots of fun and laughs, it surely looks like the film will get great footfalls. If both Biker and Rakasa could mesmerise the audience inside theatres as well, surely it’s going to be a great start for Tollywood’s real Summer season.
