‘Baa Baaa Black Sheep’ Teaser: Black Comedy For Brown Box

Crime comedies need a different knack of narration, and if all the ingredients cook up well, surely that results in a laugh riot in theatres. Looks like the new stylish crime comedy produced by Venu Donepudi under the Chitralayam Studios banner, and directed by Guni Manchikanti, is going to be one such film, if the teaser released by hero Sharwanand is anything to go by.

Featuring the likes of Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Marian, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya, and Vismaya Sri in the leads, Baa Baaa Black Sheep teaser is impressive for its comedy timing, visuals, and the overall concept. Six lives get intertwined when a small brown box with something precious inside goes missing. The black comedy that erupts in the process of dealing with guns, gold, and a missing element, is surely tickling all the funny bones in the teaser itself.

Entirely shot in Meghalaya, the teaser has grabbed eyeballs for its visuals too, along with witty one-liners and the performances of the actors. It’s coming out that the Meghalaya Government provided support for hassle-free shooting, such that the state’s creative economy and tourism sector gets a boost.

Expressing confidence on the film’s output, the producer Venu Donepudi stated that they are eyeing a Summer 2026 release. For films that trigger the younger audience with a laugh riot, surely Summer would be a terrific release.
