Kammula's Twist with Dhanush, Nagarjuna

Director Sekhar Kammula, known for his signature style of making classy and emotionally light-hearted films, is set to embark on a new venture with actors Dhanush and Nagarjuna for their upcoming movie, tentatively titled D51. This marks a significant departure from Kammula's usual genre, as the film is reported to delve into the political mafia backdrop of the 1970s, filled with intense mass elements.

The storyline revolves around Dhanush portraying a character transitioning from a gangster to a politician, with Nagarjuna playing a pivotal role. Inspired by real events from the 1970s political landscape, the narrative promises to bring forth intriguing incidents from that era.

Adding to the star-studded cast, Rashmika Mandanna will feature alongside Dhanush, while the musical score will be composed by the acclaimed Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad. After extensive script development, the production is set to commence filming in January 2024.

D51 is envisioned as an ambitious multilingual project that aims to captivate audiences across various languages. The film is receiving support from producers Narayan Das K Narang, Suniel Narang, and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, in collaboration with Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd. Sonali Narang presents this highly anticipated movie.

To tease audiences, a concept poster of D51 was unveiled on Dhanush's birthday, hinting at a gripping and unconventional narrative. The team is also in discussions with notable industry figures to further enrich this promising project.
