Controversy Hits Shekhar Kammula's Kubera

A potential roadblock has emerged for director Shekhar Kammula's upcoming film "Kubera," starring Tamil actor Dhanush, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh.

Producer Karmikonda Narendra has filed a copyright claim on the title, alleging that his production company, Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, has already registered "Kubera" and completed filming a movie under that name.

Narendra spoke to the media on Sunday, expressing his disappointment that Shekhar Kammula's banner, Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, released the first look of their film "Kubera" despite his prior registration.

He stated that his complaint to the Telangana Film Chamber regarding the title duplication went unanswered, prompting him to seek legal recourse.

Narendra has asserted his readiness for a legal battle to defend his claim on the title "Kubera." He has also urged the Telangana Film Chamber to intervene and resolve the dispute. This unexpected controversy casts a shadow of uncertainty over the release of Shekhar Kammula's "Kubera," with the outcome of the legal battle yet to be determined.
