Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is known for her dedication to fitness and healthy living. Recently, she spoke openly about a difficult period in her life when she suffered from cervical spondylosis, a condition that causes pain and stiffness in the neck. She revealed how yoga helped her recover and completely changed her life.

Speaking during the 12th International Yoga Day celebrations in Haryana, Shilpa said that she did not start practicing yoga as a hobby. Instead, it was recommended by her doctors as part of her treatment. She explained that she was facing severe neck problems and found it difficult to move comfortably.

Shilpa recalled, "I got introduced to yoga because it was prescribed to me. I suffered from spondylosis, so my physiotherapist advised me to practise certain asanas." Following the advice, she began learning yoga under the guidance of a trained instructor.

What started as a medical treatment slowly became an important part of her daily routine. As she continued practicing yoga, she noticed positive changes in both her body and mind. The actress said that yoga helped her become more aware of herself and improved her outlook on life.

Talking about her experience, Shilpa shared, "As I got deeper into yoga, I realised there was a huge shift within me. It changes the way you see things and your perspective on life. It makes you more aware and eventually becomes a journey of self-discovery."

She also remembered the toughest phase of her health condition. "There was a time when I couldn't turn my neck fully and I couldn't look back," she said. The pain and stiffness affected her daily activities, making simple movements difficult.

However, through regular practice, patience, and determination, Shilpa gradually regained her flexibility and strength. Today, she is able to perform advanced yoga poses that once seemed impossible.

She mainly said that women must do yoga and added that she makes her children eat and sleep sharp by 9pm.
