Veteran Telugu actor Prudhvi Raj is a verbally aggressive person and this was in effect again as he partook in the Laila pre release event last night. He drew the political implication between “150” to “11” seats and this immediately triggered the YCP ecosystem which felt he was targeting them by using poltical references.

However, after YCP took this offense very seriously and said they would boycott the film, the makers issued a media clarification today. They have clarified on this matter now.

Producer Sahu Garapati revealed that the entire unit is shocked by the fact that there is a narrative on social media to buy out the film. He revealed that the guests who work at their own will, and the makers, and the film cannot be held responsible for the same.

Hero Vishwak Sen, apologise for what had happened. He said they weren’t even in the venue during the time of the incident, which is the reason why they are not to be blamed for what had happened. He said he producer, Sahu were outside the venue receiving Chiranjeevi during the incident, and they are not aware of what was spoken by Prudhvi.

“We, Shine screens and the team of Laila, would like to clarify that the statements expressed by actor 30 Years Prudhvi during the Mega Mass Event of Laila are solely his personal views. They do not reflect the opinions or stance of Shine Screens, the film's cast, crew, or anyone associated with Laila.

Our film is a celebration of entertainment, humor, and joy, and we strongly believe in spreading positivity and love. We do not endorse or support any political statements made by individuals at our event. We sincerely request everyone to focus on the spirit of Laila - a fun-filled film made for audiences to enjoy. Our intentions are clear - to entertain you all in theatres from February 14th.” The clarification from the team read.
