Negative Talk For Shiva? Sequel Happening?

One of the most iconic films in the history of Telugu cinema is Siva, which marks the collaboration of Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Varma. This film originally released some 36 years ago, and it is still regarded as one of the most iconic and path breaking films ever to be made.

In this context, the film is now being released in theatres again, and it is being promoted aggressively by Nagarjuna and Varma.

While speaking at a promotional event in Hyderabad, Nagarjuna and Varma had a series of interesting comments to make about the film.

In particular, Nagarjuna said Siva had originally opened to negative reviews as people commented that the film did not have family watch value or comedy scenes. However, he pointed out that his father legendary actor ANR was very confident about the film and appreciated him for the efforts.

And then, Ram Gopal Varma was asked about the possibility of making sequence for Siva or possibly recreating the magic of this film.

“ There is no recreation of Siva as it is entirely a film that was made for Nagarjuna.” Varma said. When the Media asked Verma, if there is a possibility of making the film again with Naga Chaitanya or Akhil, he had a very dismissive reaction.

“ There is no way I am making a film like Siva with anyone in the near future, nor can I imagine a film being made on these lines.” Varma concluded.
