The same case with legendary Tamil actor Shivaji Ganesan now as a property belonging to him has reportedly been ordered to be seized by the Madras High Court.
According to a new report published by the Times Of India, the issue originates from Easan production company, which is operated by Shivaji Ganesan’s grandson Dushyant and his wife Abhirami. This company reportedly took a loan amount of ₹3.74 crores from Dhanabagiyam Enterprises. The accepted interest rate was 30% per annum.
However, according to the Media report, this debt was not paid back by the production company, and subsequently the legal proceedings were initiated by the lender.
The lender approached the Madras High Court for justice and the matter was investigated by a retired High Court judge named T Ravindran.
After preliminary investigation, the court identified that the lender is to be fairly compensated as the overall debt rose to over Rs 9 crore due to delay.
The court then ordered the seizure of the property that originally belongs to Shivaji Ganesh, and this could now be used to settle the debt that was generated in the first place. This house is in Chennai and it is likely to be liquidated if the debt is not cleared by the concerned authorities who are related to Shivaji Ganesan. Either of the parties associated with this scenario, haven’t issued a public communication on the same till now.
