“Did Anyone Touch Sai Pallavi Or Anushka?” Shivaji Questions

Facing the media today, a day after his previous speech on women’s dressing made outrage on the social media, Shivaji has once again stated that he stands by his statement. After the likes of Anasuya as well as Chinmayi condemned that, while the likes of Lakshmi Manchu and Swapna Dutt complained to MAA about the same, here is what Shivaji says.

“I’m committed to the statement I’ve given, but I regret using those two inappropriate words, for which I’ve apologised. Watching Nidhie Aggerwal go through such turmoil has made me heartwrenched. What if her dress malfunctioned that day at Lulu Mall? Will anyone even remove those clips from internet? That thought provoked me to speak like that,” says actor Shivaji. “Did anyone touch Sai Pallavi or Anushka like that? How do people treat Laya and Mallu actresses who come in sarees?” he further added.

He further added: “The likes of spiritual leader Garikapati (Narasimha Rao) garu and veteran journalist Gangandhara Sastry garu have said those words many times, not just me. Talking about the greatness and importance of women, especially about the film industry, they spoke many times, saying how to dress up in public appearances. While women have the freedom to where whatever on the silver screen because there will be the Censor Board’s control, we have to be careful about public appearance. ,” said Shivaji

“Never have I missed consciousness and thrown words even at opponents like YS Jagan; never crossed my limits; but don’t know why, I’ve rolled out some bad words. Some people have directed and redirected their tweets to Chinmayi and Anasuya, and that led to their outrage as well,” he emphasised.
