Shruti Haasan has had her share of public relationships, Michael Corsale for a few years, then Santanu Hazarika after that, and of course a couple of old link-up rumors that pop up every now and then. Things were pretty quiet lately, but out of nowhere she drops a dinner selfie, looking chilled out and stylish, and the internet immediately goes, “okay… what’s happening here?”

In the photo, she’s smiling next to Karan Parikh, and the caption reads, “Dinner with my fave @karanparikh27 aka master shifu.” That one line was enough for fans to start connecting dots nobody even knows exist. Some people are already whispering “new romance?” while others are convinced it’s just Shruti hanging out with a close friend.

Right now, nothing points clearly in any direction. Could be friendship, could be early-stage something, or nothing at all. Shruti didn’t hint at anything, and the vibe of the picture feels casual.
