Despite early setbacks, Shruti Haasan, the daughter of renowned actor Kamal Haasan, has made a name for herself in the movie business. The 39-year-old actress's first Bollywood film, Luck, was a box office bust. She then went on to do unsuccessful Tamil and Telugu films. But when she costarred with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan in Gabbar Singh, her first major hit, her career took a different direction. She has since managed the highs and lows of three different industries, even taking a three-year hiatus from 2018 to 2020 as a result of back-to-back failures. With hits like Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, and Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, she made a powerful return in 2023. She currently has a full schedule of movies, including Salaar 2, Train, and Coolie.

It is interesting to note that before entering the industry, Shruti employed a pseudonym in real life, despite playing a variety of personas on film. She is still quite active in the film industry and is now working on Train with Vijay Sethupathi and Coolie with Rajinikanth, both of which are helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. There is also a lot of conjecture that she will be a major character in Vijay Thalapathy's next film, Jananayakaan. Fans are excitedly awaiting her upcoming ventures, and her strong influence in South Indian film is only growing.

Shruti has always placed a strong emphasis on leaving her own stamp, even though she is Kamal Haasan's daughter. She disclosed in a recent interview that she refrained from revealing her father's name in social situations prior to entering the field. She believed that if people were aware of her ancestry, they would talk more about her parents than about herself. She avoided this by taking on a false identity while she was with friends, which freed her from the burden of her father's heritage and allowed her to engage freely.

Shruti revealed that she felt uneasy since people who knew her would only discuss how terrific her father was. She was able to be herself without being constrained by her past by using an alias. She was unable to keep her anonymity after she started making movies, though. She has nevertheless established a prosperous career on her own terms, demonstrating that skill and tenacity are more important than a well-known last name.
