South Indian star Shruti Haasan, currently filming Prabhas' "Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam" and Adivi Sesh's "Decoit," finds herself amidst unexpected news.

Reports suggest she has exited the international project "Chennai Story" midway through production.

Just recently, Shruti shared her excitement about starting work on "Chennai Story," directed by BAFTA winner Philip John. However, the latest buzz indicates her sudden departure from the project, leaving the reasons behind it shrouded in mystery.

"Chennai Story" is a coming-of-age romantic comedy featuring actors Viveik Kalra, Nimmi Harasgama, and Sahana Vasudevan. The film is backed by Guru Films, Ripple World Pictures, and Ie Ie Productions, with support from the British Film Institute's UK Global Screen Fund. As details about Shruti's departure and her replacement remain unclear, fans eagerly await further developments.

Shruti, however, remains busy with her diverse projects. She recently made a mark in Hollywood with her 2023 debut film "The Eye" alongside Mark Rowley. Domestically, she basked in the massive success of "Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire" with Prabhas, directed by Prashanth Neel. The film shattered box office records, crossing nearly Rs 500 crore worldwide. Additionally, Shruti captivated audiences with the music video "Inimel," featuring director Lokesh Kanagaraj in his first full-length on-screen role. The song, penned by her legendary father Kamal Haasan, further cemented her multi-faceted talent.
