BO: No Impact Of Six Telugu Movies
But other than the Hollywood banger, Telugu films turned out to be dead cold.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 17 July 2026 11:26 PM ISTEvery Friday, there will be a lot of films coming, and surely some of them will leave an impact. The other day, with the hope of making their mark, almost a half-dozen movies have hit the Telugu box office. Had any of them clicked, surely there would be some impact on the likes of Lenin and Maa Inti Bangaram. But other than the Hollywood banger, Telugu films turned out to be dead cold.
Six Telugu movies were released the other day, and none of them got any attention at least with their promotional content. Among them, Tiruveer tried to bring some attention to Oh Sukumari, which also features Aishwarya Rajesh as another lead. Though the film got attention, it failed to capitalise on that, as the ratings are below average.
Then comes Srikanth and Rajendra Prasad’s Mr Middleclass, which is pronounced as a movie that would be on the lines of vintage Kshemanga Velli Labamga Randi, but that failed to click. The same is the case with Posani’s wacky comedy Operation Arunareddy. Jagapathi Babu’s Vadala, produced by Tammareddy, also failed to excite even a tiny bit.
Other movies like Raja The Raja and Venkataramayyya gari Taluka also failed to get attention, tickets and reviews. On the whole, six films, including Oh Sukumari, Vadala, Mr Middleclass, Raja The Raja, Venkataramayya Gari Taluk and Operation Arunareddy, were released yesterday and are likely to sink without a trace.
Literally, this opens all doors for Lenin and The Odyssey to create havoc at the Telugu box office, while Maa Inti Bangaram is still selling some tickets in a few centres.
