After a streak of solid hits, he’s deep into filming The Paradise, which already sounds like one of his biggest projects yet. Directed by Srikanth Odela of Dasara fame, this one’s packing serious weight. The buzz started the moment names like Mohan Babu and Raghav Juyal got attached, and it’s only getting louder.
The newest addition to the team is National Award winner Sonali Kulkarni. The makers dropped her look, and let’s just say it’s hard to ignore, sharp, royal, and full of emotion. Rumor has it she’s playing Nani’s mother, which sounds like a role that’ll leave a mark. Sonali’s got that quiet strength on screen, and if anyone can bring depth to a mother’s character without overdoing it, it’s her. Fans already can’t stop talking about how intense the combo of Nani and Sonali might turn out to be.
Srikanth Odela, on the other hand, seems to be going all out. The movie’s being shot on a whopping ₹150 crore budget, with Anirudh handling the music. They’ve built massive sets at Ramoji Film City, turning parts of it into old Secunderabad. It’s a full-on period setup, dusty streets, old charm, and that vintage feel you can almost smell. If the glimpses are anything to go by, this film’s not aiming small.
Money-wise too, The Paradise is already scoring big. Netflix is said to have bought the digital rights for ₹60 crore, the highest in Nani’s career so far. The shoot’s halfway through, and the team’s gearing up for another long schedule soon. Between the scale, the cast, and the mood around it, this one feels different. No overhype, no noise, just quiet confidence that something solid’s cooking. Looks like Nani’s not just in paradise; he’s building one.
