Film releases this week are like a crowded train, everyone’s rushing in at once, and it’s hard to keep track. South Indian cinema is going all out just before Diwali, with 13 films hitting theaters. The buzz is still strong from Kantara: Chapter 1, and now fans have a whole bunch of new stories to pick from. There’s action, comedy, romance, drama, you name it. Something for every kind of movie-goer.

Telugu and Kannada films join the frenzy. K-Ramp mixes romance, sports, and action, Mithra Mandali is all about misfit friends in chaos, and Telusu Kada experiments with modern love and complicated relationships. Dude is a romantic action-comedy with unusual twists and emotional ups and downs.

Tamil cinema starts the week with Bison, a sports drama about a boy dreaming of becoming a Kabaddi star despite all odds, and Carmeni Selvam, a family comedy about a man chasing money and realizing what really matters. Then there’s Diesel, an action thriller on fuel mafia chaos, and Kambi Katna Kathai, a crime-comedy about a fake guru caught in a heist. Each one has its own weird charm, some intense, some silly, some both.

Malayalam movies bring their own quirky mix. Theatre: The Myth of Reality blends old folklore with modern-day issues, giving you something to think about while staying rooted in culture. The Pet Detective turns lost pets into a full-on crime-comedy adventure, you laugh, you cheer, and sometimes you groan at the silliness.

Paathirathri dives into police life and messy personal relationships, showing that cops have chaos off-duty too. Premigala Gamanakke looks at couples living together during lockdown, juggling love, fights, and awkward moments everyone secretly gets. Small-scale but punchy, these films pack personality in every frame.

Altogether, it’s a full-on festival of films, noisy and messy but exciting. Diwali is shaping up to be a week of long queues, packed theaters, and endless debates about which film to catch first.
