Got Mobbed Even In Churidar- Sravanthi’s Shocking Comments

By: Shanaz B Syed | 11 Feb 2026 2:16 PM ISTBack in the day, when actor Shivaji stated that heroines should be conscious of what they are wearing in public and advised them not to wear revealing clothes, the industry got divided. While some criticised him for his patriarchal remarks, some supported him too. Now, anchor Sravanthi says that Shivaji’s comments are not wrong.
Anchor Sravanthi, who is now coming up as an actress, in an interview shared that she supports Sivaji’s comments about the dressing sense of heroines, except for the bad word he used. She felt that wearing sarees to events is the nicest thing to do, but also explained that even if someone wears sarees, there’s no safety.
She narrated an incident where people around mobbed her, though she was dressed conservatively in a Churidar during the promotions of the Virupaksha movie. She left in a Vande Bharat train along with Sai Dharam Tej, and nearly 500 people tried to mob her at a place in Andhra. During that time, Sai Dharam is said to have saved the anchor and safely accompanied her until she got in a car.
Sravanthi’s point is that the mindset of these mobbers should change first, and then only can things really see a change in terms of society’s attitude towards women.
