The actor, while promoting his upcoming romantic comedy #Single, opened up about recent backlash surrounding a trailer dialogue from his film. A particular line mentioning “Shivayya” and “Manchu kurisipoyindi” sparked controversy among supporters of the Kannappa film and Manchu fans. However, Sree Vishnu was quick to clarify. “I always want to stay away from controversies. But sometimes they come without warning. I responded immediately and learned to be more cautious moving forward,” he said.
Setting the record straight, he emphasized that the film is a lighthearted entertainer. “This is the first love story I've ever done. It's a new-age romance, very different from what we've seen so far,” he shared. With major portions shot in Hyderabad, he promised viewers a fresh visual take on the city. “The interval and climax will stand out. This story will connect with the younger generation while also entertaining families,” he added, clearly excited to be part of the Geetha Arts banner.
Sree Vishnu also shared how personally connected he felt to the story. “It's not just about love from my end. Vennela Kishore, who plays my friend, has his own love track. Both are essential to the film's journey,” he explained. Reflecting on his recent film Swag, he acknowledged audience expectations. “We didn't prepare them properly for that kind of story. But I still believe in trying something different,” he noted, hinting at how surprises can sometimes land in unexpected ways.
