Just months ago, Tollywood treated her like the busiest heroine in the industry. Today, she’s silently rebuilding her career somewhere else if the reports coming up are true. Sometimes in cinema, the industry that launches you fastest is also the first one to move on. The same happened with many heroines, and it looks like it’s happening in the case of ‘Kissik’ starlet Sreeleela too.

Recently, Sreeleela pinned her hopes on Ustaad Bhagat Singh, but the film hasn’t helped her much. However, with the actress not signing any new movies or not being given fresh film offers, it came out that she herself took a break to focus on her studies. A series of underwhelming films, repetitive glamorous roles, and the same dance-energy template have worked against her, and then came the ‘lack of hits’ moment. This led to Telugu offers drying up. And Sreeleela is also hurt by those flops, it seems. Like how the likes of Rakul Preet, Ileana, and others have done earlier, she’s now looking forward to board a flight to Mumbai, says sources.

Her big Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s romantic drama has already generated decent buzz. Without much noise or publicity, Sreeleela has already completed another Hindi film, Diler, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan. The film was shot extensively in London under Maddock Films banner. If these two films work, then Sreeleela will have a place in Bollywood.

Apparently, the actress decided to hike her remuneration aggressively at a time when Telugu producers are already struggling with rising budgets and poor theatrical revenues. That instantly made many banners rethink. Instead of running behind Telugu offers at this moment, Sreeleela seems to have made a calculated shift towards Bollywood.
