Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela Film Faces Delay

Sreeleela’s first Hindi film, starring opposite Kartik Aaryan, won’t hit theatres this Diwali as planned. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film has completed only 40% of its shoot. Kartik is juggling another film where he plays a very different role, which is making things tricky in terms of continuity. The team now plans to resume filming in August or September.

Anurag Basu cleared the air about the delay. Some reports claimed the film was being reworked due to similarities with another movie, Sayaara. Basu dismissed that, saying their script remains unchanged and has nothing to do with Sayaara. The delay, he said, is purely because of scheduling issues.

This move pushes back the launch of Sreeleela’s Bollywood career. The film was expected to be her big entry into Hindi cinema, but now fans will have to wait a little longer. Despite the delay, there’s still buzz around the film, especially with Kartik and Sreeleela pairing up for the first time.

Meanwhile, Sreeleela is keeping busy in Tollywood. She’s shooting for Ustad Bhagat Singh in Telugu and Parashakti in Tamil. While her Bollywood debut is delayed, she continues to stay in the spotlight with back-to-back projects.
