Sreeleela Rumoured Replacement For Top Bollywood Star?

Sreeleela and the whole “replacement queen” tag… honestly, it’s been sticking to her since the Guntur Kaaram days when she walked in after Pooja Hegde stepped out. And it didn’t stop there. One project after another, somehow she ends up being the last-minute pick. Now the same thing has quietly followed her into Bollywood. Her next stop is Choomanthar, where Abhay Varma, yes, the Munjya guy, is playing the hero. Madak Films is producing this one, and the vibe is already buzzing for some reason.

The chatter is that Sreeleela has stepped in for Ananya Panday. The film’s still in pre-production, nothing fancy happening yet, but Ananya apparently backed out because of date issues. Once that happened, the team roped in Sreeleela without wasting time. Workshops are supposed to begin soon, and honestly, it’s going to be interesting to see how she handles a sci-fi setup. It’s not her usual territory, and that might actually work in her favour.

Meanwhile, Ananya isn’t sitting quiet. Her Christmas release Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is going full Gen-Z glitter, foreign locations, punchy beats, glam overdose, and that easy chemistry with Kartik Aaryan that fans love to replay on loop. She’s clearly doing her thing, just in a different lane.

Sreeleela, though, seems to be building a whole lineup in Bollywood without making too much noise. She has the untitled Kartik Aaryan–Anurag Basu romantic drama coming in 2026. Diler with Ibrahim Ali Khan might drop directly on OTT. Then there’s the Varun Dhawan project floating around, and Dostana 2 is also said to be warming up in pre-production with her name attached. If even half of these land properly, she’s going to be everywhere in 2026–27, no replacements needed.
