Court Actress Sridevi Makes Surprise Move With New Tamil Project

Sridevi Apalla, who impressed everyone with the Legal Drama film Court: State vs A Nobody, which starred Priyadarshi Pulikonda, P. Sai Kumar, Sivaji, Rohini, under the direction of Ram Jagadeesh, produced by Natural Star Nani's Wall Poster Cinema, is on a roll.

She has already signed her second movie in Telugu titled Bandmelam with Roshan, and the first look and glimpses are already creating buzz. Now, she’s making her Tamil debut with a bilingual project directed by Yuvraj Chinnasamy. Abishek Joseph George and Sridevi are part of the cast, and it’s produced by Mini Studios.

And she also signed her Second Tamil movie, untitled, under the Joe Production House.

The film has Femina George in the lead role, while Sridevi steps in as an important supporting character. It promises a mix of youthful energy and emotional depth, and Vijay Bulganin, who did the music for Baby and Court, is scoring this one too.

Her second Tamil is not as the lead, but in an important and nice supporting role. Clearly, she’s exploring new ground and showing her versatility in South cinema.

The makers seem confident this bilingual will click with both Telugu and Tamil audiences. And all this in just a year after Court, which raked in nearly 50 crores under Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema banner. Sridevi is definitely one to watch.
