Sridevi Vijaykumar Says Those Pictures Are Good Memories

Sridevi Vijaykumar is stepping back into films with Sundarakanda, and her excitement is easy to see. Directed by Venkatesh Nimmalapudi and starring Nara Rohit, the film is set for release on the 27th of this month. Sridevi, who shares screen space with Vruthi Vaghani, says the story caught her attention right away. �It is an entertaining film, and I am playing a strong role. I was really surprised when I first heard the script,� she told reporters.

For Sridevi, this film is more than just another project. It marks her return to the silver screen after a long break. �I got married during my career and later focused on my family. I even did a few television shows in between. Now that my daughter has started school, I feel the time is right to work in films again,� she shared. The actress seemed happy about balancing motherhood with her comeback.

One particular scene in Sundarakanda holds a special place in her heart. Sridevi appears in a school uniform for the role, and she said she worked hard to look convincing. �I followed a strict diet for that scene. I also have pictures with my daughter in a school dress. Both of us in uniform is something I will always cherish. These moments are good memories for me,� she said with a smile.

Sridevi also looked back on her earlier career, recalling her debut alongside Prabhas in Eeshwar. �Even back then, we knew he had star quality. But the way he has grown today is beyond imagination,� she added. With Sundarakanda, she hopes the audience will welcome her warmly, just as they did years ago.
