Scheduled to release on January 10, 2025, the film features Srikanth in a pivotal role. In a recent interaction with the media, Srikanth opened up about his challenging experience working on this high-profile project.
Srikanth said, "I feel that my characterization in this movie is fresh and distinct compared to my recent work. I never imagined I would portray such a character. When I heard the second half, I knew I had to take on the role no matter what. Once the prosthetics were done, I felt confident I could do justice to it."
Talking about the inspiration behind his look, he added, "They created my look after seeing a picture of my father. When I wore the getup, my mother was shocked. I even teased her by calling her 'Baby.' I never thought I could resemble my father so much."
Speaking about his experience working with the renowned director, Srikanth shared, "He made us comfortable right from day one. As a former artist, he knows how his actors should perform and injects his vision into us perfectly. We just follow it."
He further elaborated on the challenges of prosthetic makeup, saying, "It was my first time working with prosthetics. I had to sit for 2-3 hours to get into the look, and sweating was not allowed. Initially, it was tough, but I learned to manage."
Discussing his character, Srikanth said, "I am playing the role of the Chief Minister in the movie. There is a positive and negative side to my character, which comes out based on the situation. The aged CM character demanded changes in my behavior, walking style, and energy levels."
When asked about comparisons to the CM role in Oke Okkadu, Srikanth remarked, "For me, this character is a new dimension for myself."
Talking about working with Ram Charan again, Srikanth said, "In Govindudu Andarivadele, he played a youngster. Now, he has matured as an actor. His roles in Rangasthalam and RRR reflect his growth. Both his characters in Game Changer are performance-oriented, and he aced them completely."
Speaking about the blend of story and commercial elements, Srikanth said, "From Shankar garu, you can expect strong stories. There are all commercial elements in this film, including entertainment, a political angle, and many twists. It will definitely be a big hit."
He also acknowledged Karthik Subbaraj’s contribution, saying, "If Shankar garu took the story, imagine how impressed he was with it."
Srikanth confirmed that Game Changer would be a standalone movie. "I think Game Changer is a single-part movie." Reflecting on the extended shooting schedule, he explained, "Managing the artists' schedules and their specific getups took a lot of time, but the result will be worth it."
