In a sensational claim, Srinivas Rao stated through a selfie video and a letter that he was driven to the brink of suicide due to Rajamouli's alleged harassment. He revealed that their friendship spanned 34 years and that he had served as the executive producer for the film Yamadonga.

Srinivas Rao sent the video and letter to Rajamouli’s close associates and urged the police to file a suo motu case against the director. Additionally, he demanded that Rajamouli undergo a lie detector test.
