Buzz: George Krish In Budget Raincheck Mode

One of the upcoming films that suddenly jumped into the scene of Pongal 2027 is none other than Sreenu Vaitla and Sharwanand’s first-ever outing, George Krish. Recently, even the two looks of the hero from the movie were released quite hurriedly, on the eve of Sreenu Vaitla’s birthday. However, reports are coming out that currently the movie’s budget is in raincheck mode.

Especially the cost-cutting around the casting and making of the film is said to be in place right now. They thought of Pooja Hegde as the heroine, but she demanded 4.5 crores despite having no single Telugu film or blockbuster film in hand at the moment. Then comes new sensation Bhagyashree Bhorse, who is said to have demanded 2.5 crores, which is expected after the success of “Lenin”. Finally, the makers of George Krish settled down with Manasa Varanasi with around a 70 lakhs budget, according to the rumours.

Producer Anil Sunkara is cutting budgets heavily on Sreenu Vaitla and Sharwanand films because he knows films often end up as loss ventures even if they succeed at the box office, since the spending is huge. Vaitla’s movies have always suffered from excessive spending, and if he could control that, they say that for Sankranthi 2027, it’s going to be a blockbuster treat for them.
