5 Times Bigger Than RRR & Faster -Rajamouli

Usually, SS Rajamouli, the legendary Telugu filmmaker who is making the world go merry with his creations in recent times, takes a long time to make his films. Now that he’s coming up with Varanasi, featuring Mahesh, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the leads, many thought that it would take ages for the movie to come out, as the film’s budget is almost three times that of his previous big-budget movie. So what’s the reality?

While RRR took almost 310 days for Rajamouli on the production sets, this time, he’s said to be filming Varanasi in just under 275 days. That’s a record for sure. However, Rajamouli revealed that when it comes to scale and drama, Varanasi is almost 5 times bigger than RRR. With the movie’s content itself spanning across centuries, as it shifts dramatically between various timelines, surely one can understand how big the film is, in terms of concept, visuals, and intensity wise.

That said, Rajamouli has locked just one date for Varanasi so far, which is April 7, 2027, and they are likely to hit the target without fail. If that happens, this is the first time that Rajamouli is coming up with a movie on a scheduled date without missing it by miles and taking the release back by almost a year like earlier. On the other hand, people are eagerly waiting for the trailer of Varanasi as they want to see the magic of Rajamouli again.
