Varanasi: Mahesh, Prakash, Madhavan Roles Revealed

The buzz surrounding the upcoming magnum opus, legendary director SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, is getting bigger and better each day. After Prakash Raj revealed more about the film’s character, he’s playing, here comes another piece of information that is setting the internet on fire at the moment.

Already, Mahesh Babu himself revealed that he’s going to appear shirtless in the film, flaunting his six-pack abs, as he appears as Lord Rama in the movie for a brief period. He has even practised a new walking style by learning the Kerala martial art Kalaripayattu for the same. The latest update is that senior star Madhavan will be seen as Lord Hanuman in this episode of the Varanasi movie. That’s something pretty interesting for all the star cast that’s there in the film already.

At the same time, some reports indicate that Prakash Raj will be seen as Mahesh Babu’s father in the movie, and he plays the role of a profound Lord Shiva bhakt. Whether he will be seen in the Ramayana episode or not is yet to be known, but this kind of casting itself is enough to set the screens on fire when Varanasi hits cinemas on April 7, 2027.
