If a superstar had a son, fans would immediately expect him to enter films as a hero. But things are slowly changing in the film industry. Today, star kids are showing interest in different areas of cinema and entertainment.
One interesting example is Thalapathy Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay. Instead of directly entering films as an actor, Jason has shown interest in filmmaking. He is working towards becoming a director and has already been associated with film projects. His choice shows that being a star kid does not always mean following the same path as the father.
Another example comes from the Telugu film industry. Ravi Teja’s son Mahadhan has also been linked with filmmaking work. Instead of immediately trying to become a hero, he is learning about cinema from behind the camera. Working as an assistant director can give him valuable experience about how a film is made, how actors work and how a director handles a project.
Now, Hrithik Roshan’s elder son Hrehaan Roshan has also taken a different route. The 20-year-old has made his independent music debut with the song “This Heavenly Place.” He has taken multiple responsibilities for the track, including singing, songwriting and playing the guitar.
Hrithik Roshan proudly shared his son’s musical journey and said that he trusts his son’s instincts. Hrehaan’s mother Sussanne Khan also expressed her happiness, while singer and actor Saba Azad praised his new song.
Hrehaan also comes from a family with a strong connection to music. His great-grandfather Roshan was a respected music composer, while his uncle Rajesh Roshan is also a well-known composer. Still, Hrehaan has chosen to introduce himself through independent music.
These examples show an interesting change among the new generation of star kids. They are not simply looking at acting as their only career option. Some are exploring direction, some music and others different parts of filmmaking.
Being born into a film family may give them opportunities, but choosing their own path could help them build a separate identity. It will be interesting to see what these young talents do next.
