The film stars Shivani Nagaram, senior actor Naresh, and anchor Sravanti in important roles. Hey Balwanth is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 20. Ahead of the release, Suhas spoke openly with the media and shared many interesting details about the film and his career.
Talking about the title change, Suhas explained, “Since Bhagwan means God, the censor board suggested changing the title. So we changed it to Hey Balwanth.” He also added that Naresh’s character name was changed, and the censor board carefully examined the film’s concept before giving approval.
About his role, Suhas said, “I play a youngster who wants to start a business from childhood and wants to take over his father’s business.” He shared that the story focuses on the challenges faced by his character and the truth behind his father’s profession. “The movie is a full entertainer, and my role is also very entertaining,” he added.
Suhas revealed that this film was completed very quickly. “In my career, this is one of the fastest films completed and released after getting finalized,” he said. Despite the short schedule, he strongly believes the quality has not been compromised.
Explaining why he accepted the project, Suhas said, “I liked the story as soon as I heard it. Especially, I connected emotionally along with the entertainment factor.” He confidently stated that the final output is far better than what the team initially expected.
When asked if this film marks “Suhas 2.0,” he humbly replied, “Don’t use such big words. But I strongly believe this movie will bring me success.” He also spoke honestly about failures, saying, “I keep waiting for success. It feels bad, but I immediately prepare for the next film.”
Sharing his expectations, Suhas said, “I was waiting for a film like ‘Hey Balwanth’.” He revealed that after a few setbacks, he took a short break and chose this script carefully. “Everyone has strong belief in this movie,” he added.
Talking about his Tamil project Mandadi, Suhas said, “It’s a Tamil film where I play the main villain.” He mentioned that the role and look are something he waited for, and the offer came after the success of Ambajipeta.
On audience support, he said, “People feel I am a good actor and want me to get a good film. I consider that my luck.” He also admitted feeling slightly nervous about how audiences will receive him in villain roles.
About doing comedy after many serious roles, Suhas shared, “In the beginning of my career, I mostly did comedy roles in short films.” He added that even his wife encouraged him to do more such films after watching Hey Balwanth.
Finally, speaking about his next project, Suhas said, “I’m doing a film under Karthik Subbaraj’s banner. He is providing the story, and his associate is directing it.” He also confirmed that he is listening to a few Telugu stories and they will be finalized soon.
