Telugu actor Suhas is all set to make his Tamil debut with the upcoming movie Mandaadi. The film is scheduled to release on September 10, 2026. Interestingly, Suhas will not be seen as the hero in this movie. He is playing a powerful villain role.

Suhas has mostly appeared in positive and emotional characters in his previous films. But Mandaadi will show him in a completely different look and character. In a recent special interview, Suhas said that his role is very wild and has a lot of scope. He also felt that Mandaadi was the right film to enter the Tamil industry.

Suhas spoke warmly about working with actor Suri. He said Suri treated him with great care from the beginning and made him feel like he was at home. Suhas also remembered the good food and fun atmosphere on the sets. Veteran filmmaker Vetrimaaran is associated with the project as a producer, which added more excitement for Suhas.

The actor revealed that the climax was one of the biggest challenges during the shoot. The climax scenes were filmed in the sea and took nearly 45 days to complete. The team took proper safety measures while shooting these risky sequences.

Overall, Suhas worked for around 130 days for Mandaadi. He said this is the biggest-budget movie he has worked on so far. He also had to prepare specially for his character. Before starting the shoot, he stayed in a village for about 15 days. During this time, he worked on his makeover, body language and expressions.

The movie also has a special race sequence, which Suhas believes will feel fresh to audiences. He feels the story is different from what viewers have seen before.

Suhas also said that he has no regrets about his past film choices, even though some movies did not perform well. He wants to explore different kinds of roles in the future, including hero, villain and character roles.

Mandaadi was initially planned as a Tamil-Telugu release. Later, the makers decided to make it a pan-India film. Suhas said he was very happy with this decision. His wild villain role is now one of the major attractions of the movie.
